We find the following m the " Wanganui Chronicle " : — The Maoris at Tiniwaitara, a village 2£ mileß from Turakina, have just had completed a new ohuroh (English) and a large meeting house. The ohuroh is a firstolass building with an open Gothia roof.. It haß also a tower and spire, and will Beat some 160 people, and is lighted with stained glass windows. The buildings reflect great credit on the arehiteot, Mr Fisher of Turakina, as also on the builders, Messrs Purnell and Thomson, of Wanganui, who have faithfully carried out all tbe designer's plans. The Maoris are highly pleased with the work, and look forward to the opening of the meeting, house on the 20th instant. The churoh will be opened on Ohristmas Day, when the Rev A. O. Williams, of Putiki, will officiate, assisted by other clergymen of the distriot. , The chief, Reupena Ngarino, will provide a lunoh for a large nnmber of guests, and oordially invites all his friends, both European and Maori to assist at the ceremonies.
