Mr Alfred Harrison reports for the week ending Saturday, 22ad December : — Cattle — Uows, close to calving, sold up to £7. Aged animals unsaleable. Pigs.— Slips 7» 3d, 7s 9J, 9s 6d, 10s 6d, 14s 6d to 16s 6d. Slips of good quality are eagerly competed for. Poultry,— Fowls, Is 6d to 2s Id j ducks, 3s to 4s 6d ; geese, 4i to 6s 61 ; turkeys, 8s to 22s per pair. There was an enormous entry, eveiy line being cleared but a few geese
Produce— New potatoes, l£d per lb; old, 9a to 12b ; oats, 2 1 6d to 2s 9d ; wheat, 2s 6d ; sbarpß, 6s j .bran, ss. Sundries of all kinds as usual,
