PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH BAZAAR.
A brziar and aalo of work In connection with the above Ohuroh opened on Saturday afternoon. A largo number of useful and fanoy articles were displayed on tho varioun Bta'ltj, and attracted muoh attention* The fanoy gooda atall was m oharge of Miss S. Jones and Mias M. A. Addis. The stall for plain and fancy needlework waa presided over by Mm Brothroyd, vrbile the "fish pond" which was very well patronised by the young people, was In oharge of Miss Allen The usual Christmas Tree was plaoed In "the oentre of the building, and waa adorned with a large number of toya being a centre of attraction for the javenlles. A refreshment booth was also provided, where refreshments were dispensed at a smnll charge. It was nnder the supervision of Moadnmes Auokram and Addis. Tha B zur was fairly well patronised during Saturday. It ro-opened thin afternoon at 2 o'olook, and will also ba opened 00 Boxing Day at 4 p.m. Any goods re malnlng over it Is proposed to auction on Thuraday. The Ban tar is well worthy of a visit, the assortment o f fanoy and useful artloles being large. The object is to reduce the debt oa the churches et Aahburton and Nowlands, and It Is to be hoped a substantial amount will be realised. About £13 was oleared on Saturday,
