A man ! named Griffon is charge .l with l\\<\ brutal murder of a Native at S'spcr.ince Bay. It is alleged than Griffon with the assistance of another black follow, whom . he compelled to tako part m tho outrage, did the native to death by pouring red hot embers over his licck and abdomen, and horribly mutilating him with fire and forked sticks. Griffon then knocked what life remained out of the unfortunate man by jumping on him till ho was dead.
