Sydney, December 20. The Rev. Mr Brown, who was delegated to proceed to Tooga to endeavor to unite the Wesleyan and Free Churches at Tonga, has returned hither. The result of his inquiries will not be made known until the Church authorities have had an opportunity of considering them* Since the Diamond visited Tonga there has been no active persecution of the Wesleyan missionaries, but Mr Brown states that the Wesleyans suffer many disabilities and wrongs. The two churches are now working side by side, and Mr Brown is of opinion that ihe interests of Tonga demand some organic union,
