THE CHINESE QUESTION.
In the Commons, referring to the Chinese question, Sir Geo. Campbell urging that Australia should respect the treaty existing between England and and China. Sir Jas. Fergusson said that Sir Jno. Waisham, British Ambassador at Pekin, was parleying with the Chinese Government, and there was every hope the question would be* settled amicably.
