[PBR PBBSS ASSOCIATION.! Oamabu, Deoember 19 A meeting tf the shareholders m the Equitable Insurance Company was held here to-night. Messrs Sinclair and Oallan were preteat, and the following amendment to a motion that the Company carry on was proposed and oatried : — "That the Oamaru shareholders of the Equitable Insurance Company resolve m mealing assembled that the Company do at onoo go Into liquidation for the purpose Of winding op the said Company." This wss carried by five to four, but It was stated that three shareholders not present had expressed their intention of being present, and voting for the Company's oatrylng |on. This would leave but one other shareholder to deal with.
