Information has been received of a serious conflict between whites and negroes at Wahalak, a small town m Mississippi, The dispute arose over the attempted rescue of a negro who had been arrested, and m the straggle twelve whites and 100 negroes were wounded. The whites succeeded m driving their opponents into a swamp, but further fighting is expected to Uk« place.
