GERMANY AND THE SLAVE TRADE.
The Reichstag has, by a large majority, adopted. Herr Windhorst's rnotioo, pledging Germany to suppress the slave traffic on ihe East African coast. In referring to the question Count H. Bismarck, Secretary of State for Foreign Aftairs, highly eulogised England's assistance m the same direction. He advocated enrolling ipoo natives to garrison the coast and towns where it was known the trade bad been carried on. The Reichstag expressed itself m favor of Germany adopting a Spirited policy m the direction indicated. "
