«- (P»b Press Association,) Londoit. Daoember 14. Australian wheat, ex warehouse, is quoted at 43s 6d to 445. Off coast cargoes realise 39s to 393 6d ; New Zealand long- berried, 42s 6d to 435. New Zealand hemp, £$2 15s to £33. London, December 15. As compared with the closing rates at the October sales, greasy merino combings show an advance of to id ; inferior scoured has improved xd, and superior i^d. For crossbreds from j4d increase is reported, and for superior lambs J4d additional is received. The prices for inferior and faulty sorts are unchanged. The next series opens on January 29th. • Two thousand seven hundred bales of sheepskins have been sold at a general advance of %& to V 2 d. London, Daoember 16; At the wool sales 90,000 bales were sold, including 3000 purchased for transhipment to America. 5000 bales were held over, Owing to the increasing denseness of the fog, the closing of the wool auctions has been postponed. The English wheat market shows a slight advance. The Continental has also an upward tendency, but the American unchanged. For Australian new crop on passage sellers are asking 41s 3d, and for New Zealand wheat on passage 41s. Colonial oats of fine quality command 255. Colonial barley, 459. Money is firm owing to- the continued demand for outside markets.
