Woodtillb, December 17 The manager of the operations at the copper lode has now etrnck exceedingly rloh ore, and states that it is the richest he has ever seen m the colony. A sample is being sent to Napier to be smelted, but there is no donbt about the ore being exceptionally rich. It is probable a company will be floated immediately to work it. Wintry Weather. I The weather has been very severe of ! late. Hailstorms have damaged the fruit orop, while potatoes b,ave been repeatedly cat down by frost. To-day the westber is very cold and stormy, ouch eeverity has hitherto been quit* unknown at this time of the year.
