The midsummer holiaays commence on Deoeniber 17tb, and wiil extend till January 17th, On the Friday previous to taking np school, the children's annnal treat will be held. I hear that the youngsters have already collected a respectable amount for that purpose. The November examination of the Mount Somers School resulted m 22 pisses and 8 failures, but the detailed inspectorial report is not yt>t to hand. Purvis will pay us another visit, cod entertain us with "Twa Oors at Hame." He promises a more varied entertainment than on occasion of his former visit he wao *ble to provide.
