At a place called Henry County, Alabama, United States, a terrible scene was witnessed «t a negro oarap meeting on which a descent fcad b*en made by a band of white men, all masked. The negroes, it appears, were boldlog regular servioeß at a plaoe m the early art of this month, near the residence of man named Millburn, where there was a , well, and where they obtained their water. The water getting low, Millburn removed the Jbnoket, and one negro who wanted a drink, entered Millburn'a hoase (or the baoket. MiUbnrn, it is said shot the man m the neok, and nest night, his house was surrounded by *bout one Hundred negroes, who called on llillburo to come out. Millburn would not 4o this, and the men fired a volley of shots through the door, not doing muoh damage. Next night the service was being held m the «amp, when a band of white men appeared. 7hev were all well armed, and at onse fired Into the oamp. Seven of the negroes who were inßido were shot dead, and the remainder, without waiting to see who their iSsailanti were, or offering any resistance, took to their heels, going m •very direotion, tod leaving the white men m possession of the camp.
