The North Rochester district felt the drought more severely than the Southern division of the Province. In the vicinity of Bamawam many crops will yield not more than a bag to the acre, and will not he harvested. In the " back blocks " the prospect is very discouraging, whils m the eastern and north-eastern districts of the colony the season has been the worst ever expeiienced, and large areas of crops are an entire failure. Along the Murray and Goulbourne rivers the yields have been comparatively satisfactory. (ttuoeiVbd Daopmbpr 8, 12.45 p m t ) Sydney, December 8. Patchy rains are reported m the Wilcannia district. The heat up country is intense.
