ENGLAND AND THE COLONIES
Lord Carnarvon, m his speech upon the relations of the colonies and tbe Mother Country, expressed a hope that existing ties would always be maintained, but considered it obligatory upon the Home authorities to appoint as Governors men who would be acceptable to the colonies.
