.- . v [PER PRESB ASSOCIATION.] Wblmngtonj November 2. : The amount of Customs revenue collected in New Zealand during the past month was £l70,0C« 4s 3 », the principal contributors being— Dnne^io, £54,823 14s sd; Lyttelton ond Christchurch, £30,190 10s lid ; Wellington, £30,065 4a lOd ; j Auckland, £29,923 0s Bd. The estimate -I for toe month was £126 250, 60 that the arnonnt collected exceeds it by about £50,000, prncipa'ly due to heavy clearances in coDaequeaoe of the new regulations as to case spirits. The amount received during eight months of tho financial year is in. round numbers £.986,948, or £.23,052 Jos* than the estimate. Jjuring the month which ended yesterday £4146 5a 4d was colleotea as beer iniy throughout the colony, the priaoipal alcnounts being as follows .'—Auckland, £895; Dunedin, £892 2a 8d ; Chriitchurch, £791 ; Wellington, £414 12s 4d. The amount was about £100 less than the estimate. The amount received during j eight months of the financial year was £31,105 Ua 6d, or £2894 8s 6d below the estimate.
