At daybreak on the following (Sunday) morning tha O^prey atghted 'three dhows ahea.d, and immediately Wenk in pursuit of them. On getting withlo range a gun was fired from the sloop aa a nlgnal to tha dhows to stop and submit to examination. No notice, however, waj. taken of this ; bat the dhowe, instead orowded on more sail and endeavored toescape. A well-aimed shot at tha matt of tho largest of the three dbows speedily • brought her up, but by thlatime the two i other dhows wera oaatly ■ a mile ahead * and widely sepcwted, so that the captnro of both wai by no means e»iy. But •> f6rtu,n.ate shot through the sail of tha i nearest resulted la her soon being made a prisoner, and then the Osprey went lo pursuit of tha third dhow, and eventually captured har.
