"ICE CREAM " IN JAPAN.

They are well lighted inside, and the numerous seats supplied are crowded. But the astonishing faotllty with which the owners of these establishments earn their money is remarkable. Given a plane, a lump of ioe, a few glasses and spoons and a tab of syrupy-Hke mixture and their stock In trade is complete. All that has to be done is to rub the loe on a plane upside down, catch the toe dust as it falls below, dab it with the naked band into a glaes, pour a spoonful of the syrup oonootion over it, and one sen Is earned at ones.
