(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.; Dunbdin, November 20 At the annual meo.lng of the Mosgfel Woollen Factory Company, the report recommending a dividend of 8 per cent was adopted. Mr John Roberts, the Chairman, m reviewing the history of the year's operations, s*id It had bean a satisfactory and pleasant one. They had started with misgiving^ as the prospepta were gloomy, but they were now mnoh more cheerful. Referring to the Melbourne Exhibition, he said the exhibits of tho Company's goods had not only beon appreciated by every New Zealander who visited the Exhibition, but had been a universal object of attraction to al 1 who attended Victorians and people from other colonies were not slow to give praise to thesa goods. The effort made by the Company had been rewarded very handsomely m causing an increased demand for the Mosgiel goods, and the sales that had resulted since the opening of the Exhibition had amply repaid the Company for the outlay. Meesrs E. B. Oargill and fl. F, Hardy were re- elected Directors. It wsb decided to authorise the Directors to subscribe £250 towards the guarantee fund of fihe looal exhibition.
