THE NON-CONFORMIST UNIONISTS.

[by elkotbio telegraph— ooprbioht.] (Pkk Pbess Association.; London, November 16. The non-Conformist Unionist Associates entertained Lords Salisbury and Hartington at a banquet last evening and presented an address m favor of the Unionist policy sustaining the law m Ireland, signed by eight hundred and sixty- four out of nine hundred, non-conformist clergymen m Ireland. Lord Salisbury, m replying to the address of the Nonconformists, said the singular unanimity of the address showed that a vast public opinion hitherto ungauged m Ireland, regarded with terror the insane policy of some English statesmen. No one knew the meaning of Mr Gladstone's Home Rule scheme, and the Radicals appeared to be iv a similar position to the crew of a vessel sailing under sealed orders. (Received November 17, 11.30 a.m ) London, November 15. Lord Hartington m his reply to the address of the non-Conformist Unionists said that the attitude of protest adopted by Ulster was an insuperable barrier to the national autonomy of Ireland. He ' insisted that Mr Gladstone ought to declare whether he was prepared to apply the power of England to crush the North of Ireland m the event of its resisting Home Rule.
