Oamamj, November J6. The Show held yosteiday and to-day waß one of tbe boat, and moat eaoooßsful ever held In Oatmru. The total number of ontrieß was considerably short of last year, but tho quality of the exhibits all round waa of superior merit. There was a grand show of sheep, particularly loDg wooJb, and muoh keen competition, Mr J. Botton took the Oup for merinos, and tho flon M. Holmoß for Loioestora and Llocoldb, Me A. Mardooh rnunlng him very olose m the Leicester olaasep. There was a grand Bhow m Ayrshire cattle, aod hero again there km much keen competition. Mr Jctmeß Gemmell w;b tho moet BUoceßsfol exhibitor, and took tbe oup and several gold medals. Mr Menlove only exhibited shtrthorDß, and the Land Company polled Angus. Tha choir of light homes was only moderate, but tbe draughts comprised a moat superior lot of animals, and made the grandest display evor coon on any colonial Show ground Thero was close competition m all the classes, Bnd the judges had great difficulty In coming to a decision m many instances Awama won the championship, and his owner, the Hon M. Holmeo, also took the cup, beating Mr J. Held by one point, Holmes being 18, and Reid 17. The marej, youngsters, and geldings were a splendid lot of animals. There was a big dlnplay of dairy prodaoo, particularly m the varioDo classes for batter, for whioh » number of npeoial prfzaa were offered. Mrs H. Thompson took a number of firsts and a apodal of teu guineas. There was a good uhow of Implements, and amongst the opeolal prizes awarded for these was one for tho Masaey mower. Tho attendunco to-day was very large, and the Show a great saocess m every way.
