Mei.rournb, November 14. The Butler stamp frauds amount to close on The Intercolonial Freetrade Conference commenced sitting to-day. Setb, an Englishman, defeated Jack Hall last night for the Light Weight Championship of Australia. A heavy gale was experienced m the city yesterday, and the eastern end of the Armament Court at the Exhibition was blown m, but no serious damage resulted. Mrs Doyle, who murdejed her two children and then cut her own throat, is not dead, as at first reported, and it is expected that she will recover. At the Centennial Rifle Meeting yesterday the only New Zealand prizetaker was Captain Flyger, of Wanganui. Winter, the winner of the Ladies' Bracelet, scored 23.
