WAKANUI ROAD BOARD.

The resolutions were agreed to and the Chairman authorised to sign an agreement m oonjacction with the Chairman of the Hampatead Town Board. (7) From Under Seoretary for Public Works forwarding copy of proposed amendments to Public Works Act, . PETITION. A petition was received from a number of ratepayers asking that the tusßopks on the Wakanal township road should be cleared. It was reßolved, " That m the opinion of the Board, the only remedy against the Wskanni Crack difficulty, is that the same be prnclaimed a public water oourae by the Aahburton County Coanoil." It was resolved to instruct Messrs Wilding and L3wls to write to the mill ..proprietors and send the vlewe of the Board on the eubjeot, and inform the mill proprietors that the Board wishes to oome to some definite understanding with reference to the maintenance of forda and bridges over the Wakanul Creek. BIRDS' EQ(?S. It waa resolved to pay 2j 6d per 10J for birds' eggs and heads. TENDERS; Tenders were opened for reforming part of Dromore Road, and tbak of T. Blaokbarn, at 2a 3d per ohain, was aooepted. PAYMENTS After paßiing aoooants, thL Board adjourned.
