THE FREIGHT QUESTION.
The brokers are convinced that if the Shipping Committee advance tonnage, action will be justified. On existing freights the merchants proposed to equalise the rate throughout the year, but the brokers say that at present it will be impossible to arrange this. No change will be made until the Shipping Committee have been further consulted.
