There were four entries m the class for year'iog heifers, and here Moesfß Ma raon Bros took prlda of place for what was certainly the bast shorthorn m the yard. Messrs Clarke Bros sent forward a drz n from their celebrated Ayrshire herd, amongst them being Maggie Warnock and several of her pro- ( gony. Maggie, herself, is too well -known to nood o >mtn9ot here, and one or two o' her faraiy promise evon to surpass her m developing tha gcotJ poltua of highly bred Ayrohlres- The exhibition were awarded five firrt aud two eeooud prfzao. The best bull shown wta a reilly good Bpecimen of the Devon breed, young Earl, and the owner (Mr Alex McKiozu-) was deservedly awarded a first prz?. Three other besots that daaecvo spaoial mention were Butteronp, Strawberry, and Violet. These were particularly nioe dairy cows, and though they had nothing to compete against, they folly merited the awards made, vis., a first and second, and Messrs J.
