THE CHRISTCHURCH BURGLAR.

Dunkdin, November 1 • There was a large crowd at the railway station toriiight awaiting the arrival from Invercargill of Thomas Gleeßon, arres,ted for yarious burglaries here and m Christchurch, He is a young man, about nineteen or twenty with smooth face, and according to his statement, is a native of Auckland, His collection I lis about one of ihe most raiscellaneous Character ever got together. Among his outfit were found a false beard and elaborate" t moustache, eyeglasses, and cosmetics, tie j had also an elaborate silk dress and filtinps which led to the leiief that he haa been masquerading m women's attire. All the goods Jest m Dunedin were found, and a considerable quantity from Chustchurch yhile others are believed to be proceeds of burglaries further north. He had fourteen watches, an ajr'gun, sajoonrjfie, sporting gun, a number of revolvers, jewelled dagger handsome pocket kpivps, chaips, ringg, sT.yer table napkin rings, fi&idrgtesses, boxing gloves, &c, and a number of cane'le tuds. pnly m cash was found on him,
