SERIOUS RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

(PEB FBSSS ASSOCIATION.) Sydney. October 27. A geods train, while watering at Fish River tanks this morning, was dashed into by a second goods train. Attached to the first train was a passenger carriage containing several passengers and railway employees. This carriage was completely smashed, and many of the occupants received injuries. Howard, a carpenter, had his ribs broken, and his lungs affected, and a man named Wishey sustained serious injury to his head, both men being m a dangerous condition. Mr and Mrs Spieri, Messrs Stevens, Coombeß, JRiley and George received severe though not serious injury. It ia explained that the accident occurred owing to the first train being short of water, and having to stop to refill boilers. The weather at the time was foggy, and the leading train was not observed by the driver or the second train until too late to prevent the accident.
