Adams, Chief Surveyor of Otasjo, stating that the latter gen liman had just learned from a visit to the Great SniherU?id Waterfall. Mr Adams report* tba' the fall is 1934 ft high, with a voloma of wa*er eqnai to the B iwen Fall nt Miiford Srund. The water strikes a rock precipice twice m ita dasoent, forming thte leaps, the upper being 815 ft high, the middle 751 ft, and the lower 338 ft. Mr Adams adds that the surroundings are picturesque and the fall add? another to tbe many beautiful scenes of NewZ a'and, Mr McKiuFon, whj has been employed by the Survey Departmant, reports that j he has found a practicable pass fromLakt I Te An»u to Miiford Sound.
