THE SAMOAN WAR.
(per press association.) Sydney. October 26 The steamer Lubeck, which arrived to-day from the Islands, brirjgs Samoan news up to the i6th inst. ! The representatives of England, America, and Germany have held, a conference at Apia and determined certain lines of neutral territory where no firearms would be allowed. Admiral Fairfax has informed Tamasese that should any of the. lattet'g party m boats again fire on neutral territory, the warships m Apia harbor will fire on them, unless the boats at once surrender. Tamasese has assured the Admiral that no further firing on neutral territory will take place. H.M.S. Lizard will remain at Apia for a time m order to protect British interests. The adherent? of Tamasese who retired to, Mulunqi £oint, after suffering defeat at the hands of the followers of Mataafa, the King^elect, have now deserted that stronghold and taken up a position at Saluafata, twelve i miles to the eastward.
