A CITY "HUN" BY WOMEN

This ia the oouo<y seat of Jefferson County— next to Leaveawortb, the first Mttled oounty m the State— a community that boasts graded schools, three banks, •very branch of trade represented, two railroads, church denominations from the Hardshell Baptist to the Methodist, whose grand old hymns mingle with the prayers and ohants at the Episcopal ohapal next door. This is the kind of a community that Osklooaa Ib, and this is how she happened to have a olty government of women : — It is the same old story of men being elected to office on promises which were never fulfilled or intended to be.
