FATAL ACCIDENT AT RAKAIA.
Onr Bakala correspondent Informs ns that a fatal gun accident recurred there yesterday afternoon. It appears that a youth of 17 years, named William Home, whoee parents reside at the Selwyn, was go?ag out ratblt shooting, and while Id the act of dragging hla gun out of the tent m which he bad been staying the weapon went off, tbe charge lodging m Ws right brenst. The wounded lid w<*s frund by D W. Maloolmson and brought to HoweU's Railway H >lel, where he wse attended by Dr. Oordner Medical assistance was, however, unavailing, and the poor lad die'? at 9 p.m.
