THE MURDER OF MAJOR BARTTELOT.
London, Ootober 19. The official report cf the murder of Major Barttelot has been received by the Home authorities. It slates that Major Barttelot was attempting to stop the incessant drumming carried on by some men belonging to his party, when one of them suddenly turned on him | and shot bim dead.
