(per press association) Chpistchurch, Ootober 12 In Chambers to-day Mr Justioe Ward quashed the conviction of Patrick O'Connor, convicted of illicit distillation at Tlmaro, on the ground that his term of imprisonment was longer than provided by the section of the Act nnder which he was oonvlcted. The Minister of Eduoation visited Lincoln Agricnltural College today He leaves for Welllngtou to-morrow.
