RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1 The meeting will be held under tbe rules of racing, and the Ashbmton Racing Club Roles 2 No entry will be received except ofl the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint. Thiir decision on all points connected with the carrying out of thts programme te be final. 3 A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Sclwynand Opihi, from August 20th, 1888, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the tame period* 4 Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. 5. Air nomination and acceptance fees to go to the funds of the Club. 6. Trotting Race— Horses must trot to the satisfaction of a Referee. 9 t The- Stewards reserve to themselves the righ to add a consolation race to the pro* gramme.
