Mr Peter William.?; (for Messrs Fried Under Bros ) reports having held the fortnightly sale of cheep skins, hides, etc, yesterday. The catalogue comprised about 1800 skins. Although some Christohurch buyers were present biddings were very slow, and a fall of about 6d a skin has to be reported. Best butohera' orossbrods sold at 4s 8d to 5s 6d ; do merinos, 4s 24 to 5s 2d. Dry skins : best orossbreds, 4s 8d to 6s Id ; do merino, 3s 7d to 43 8d ; medium orossbreds, 2s 6d to 4s sd ; do merino, 23 6d to 8s 6d ; paltp, 2d to la BJ. Dry skins by weight: full woolled merino, 6id to 6|d per lb ; do oroaabredi, s£d to 6f d. Dead wool U per lb.
