An Order m Council notifies that the property tax, where the duty amounts to less than £15, is to be psidi on the 6th November, and where the duty atnouuts to £15 and over the sum shall be paid m two equal instalments, the first on the fich November and the second on the sth February. Hokitika, September 27. A boy named Molntyre was drowned m the Hokitik* river yesterday. He was m a Rob Roy danoe, endeavoring to seize an oar from a boat, and overbalanced himself The body was found to day. Dunbdin, September 27. A miner, named Peter Bussaniclr, was killed m his claim, near Clyde, on Monday, by a fall of ourth. His mate extricated him m a few minutes, but he only gasped once or twice.
