RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1 The meeting will be held under the rules of racing, and the Ashbuiton Racing Club Rules 2 No entry will be received except on the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint. Thtir decision on all points connected with the carrying out of th's programme te be final. 3 A" district horse shall mean any horse that bas been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from August 20th, 1888, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the same period. 4 Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. 5. All nomination and acceptance fees to go' to the funds of the Club. 6. Trotting Race — Horses must trot to the satisfaction oT a Referee. 7. The Stewards reserve to themselves the rich to add a consolation race to the programme. ' NOMINATIONS.
