London, September 21. Mr Gladstone is credited with having made a remarkable utterance m the course of an interview to-day. After declaring that the friendship between England and Turkey had not lessened, he stated that the day before the bombardment of Alexandria by the British fleet, he urged upon Mururus Pasha, the Turkish Ambassador, that the time was opportune for the occupation of Egypt by Turkey. The Suhao, however, refused to adopt the suggestion.
