RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1 The meeting will be held under the rules of racing, and the Ashbuiton Racing Club Rules 2 No entry will be received except on the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint. Thtir decision on all points connected with the carrying out of th : s programme te te final. 3 A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from August 20th, 1888, and up to the date of the forthcoming meetine, and owned by a person who has resided hi the said district during the same period. 4 Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all nToneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expsnes of the course. 5. All nomination and acceptance fees to go to the funds of the Club. 6i Trotting Race — Horses must trot to the satisfaction of a Referee. 7. The Stewards reserve to themselves the righ to add a consolation race to the progmnmCi NOMINATIONS.
