Information is withheld at present, but it is asserted that a few weeks will dieclose the fact that he is Bofo from danger of further molestation from the law, and that he has reached another country, where he will have no fear of extradition. At a meeting of the Charitable Aid Board it wag stated the Benevolent Trustees paid not less than £3009 yearly for rent of cottages occupied, many of them, by women whose husbands had gone to Melbourne. One member s»id a large number of indigent people came here from other places, and it seemed to be on the iuerease. The Trustees have decided m no c>se to pay more then 5s per week for rent.
