On September 11, when the ATamede was In Ut 25.46 south; long. 175.48 west ; H. D. Bolt on, aged 21, a native of England, (one of the aeametf of the reaiel) accidentally fell overboard. Life buoys were thrown and a boat lowered and erery effort made to save him but without aocoess; He was seen for a few minutes and then disappeared. The boats searched for an hour and forty minutes bat he was not teen again. Iniurajace Conference. A conference of Insurance Companies held here resolved that m all oases of doubtful fires ooourring throughout the colony the buildings burned should bo reinstated, ■ Gone Home. The Marquis of Queenebury waa expected here by the steamer from Honolulu but it transpired that he has retained to England via Honolulu. Boot Importations. Thomas flash was charged at the 8.-U. An entrance was efieoted by abaolc window, probably about noon yesterday, as a man at the baok heard a knocking In the warehouse about that time. Alleged Arson. Invbroarqih,, September 17.
