Mblbourkk, September 14. In the Assembly last night the Government were defeated on the tariff proposal "m Committee, where an amendment to increase the duty oa horses and sheep was carried. The Premier announced that should the House agree to the amendments the Government would drop the tariff proposals and bring m an Electora Bill and, advise the Governor, to dift lolve Parliament^
