» — At the Addlngton yards on Wednesday, there wero heavy entrlea of all kinds of stock, weather equally daring the early part of the day, but fine afternoon. Attendance of buyers and others quite an average one. Fat Cattle— A large entry. Among an entry muoh above the ordinary quality, a line of steers from the Lealio Hills Estate stood pre-amlnent, they were heavy weights of superb quality, and attracted keen competition, selling at from £9 10a to £10 15s per head. Leaving out this line the market all round was m consequence of the full entry, somewhat easier m tone, and late values were barely upheld. Heavy-weight steers sold at from £6 10a to £9 2s 6d ; medium weights at from £5 10a to £6 2s 6d ; heifers and fat cows sold at from £4 5j to £G 15i per head, , being at from 19a to fully 20 1 per 1001 b. Store Catilb—A heavy entry, a good number being well grown steers, The demand was not over active, and the sales were slow. A good number of cattle however, were cleared m the course of the day. Values show little or no alteration from late quotations. Three-year-old steers sold at from £4 2s 6d to £4 14», ditto heifers to £3 103 ; two-year- old bteers £3 to £3 7« 6d f ditto heifers £2 10a to £2 15j, yearlings 18s to 27*, Dajry Cattle— A fairly good ontry ; demand not over good. §Fat Sheep— A fairly large entry, the quality on the whole being eood. The market was inolined to weakness at the opening, a state of things which continued throughout the sale, and an all round drop In valueß of from Is to Is 6d per head took place. The market, however, was very irregular. A email line of I Imraens'y heavy orossbredo attracted attention, sent forward by Mr Geo Marshall, Sprlngoton, and sold by Messes Bennetts Broß at 25 to 26s per head, Messrs Roeewarne and Richard Dyerbelng the buyers. Prime' crossbred wethers sold at from 153 6d to 17a 6d and 18a per head ; medium weights 133 to 14b 6i ; maiden ewes a shade under these figures ; ewes of mixed ages at from 11s to 14b 6d ; raeiino wethers at from 10a 3d to 13s per head j being at from 2£d to nearly 3* per lb, acoordlng to the quality. A few fat lambs were offering, The demand wap, however, not of the briskest. Valueß ranged at from 7s 6d to lla per head. Store Fhsep — A fairly good number yarded, mainly hoggets and ewes m lamb. A pretty good enquiry shown, late values being well maintained. Croeabred ewes m lamb Bold at from lls 6d to 133 7d ; hoggeta from 10a 3d to lls 43, etc. Meesrs Bonnets Bros sold for various olients, 73 croatbred ewes m lamb at 12a 9d ; a line of 164 hoggets at 10a 9J, 19 ditto at Si 3d • 188 ewes m lamb at from 12s to 13j 7d j a line of 166 hoggets at 10s 3i. Pigs— A moderately good entry ; demand pretty fair; late values about ruling ; heavy weights said up to £2 19a 6d per head; baconers, 32a to 47s 6d: porkers, 20a to SOa { (tores, I7#.tg IQi 6d, 1 *.
