I 1 The meeting will be held under the rules ° of racing, and the Ashbuiton Racing Club B Rules 2 No entry will be received except on the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint. Thtir decision on all points connected wit h the carrying out of this programme te be final. 3 A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from August 20th, 1888, and up to the date of the forthcoming meetin?, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the same period. 4 Fiye per cent will be deducted from the grpss of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. .5. All nomination and acceptance fees to go to the funds of the Club. 6. Trotting Race— Horses must trot to the satisfaction of a Referee. 5 7. The Stewards reserve to themselves the k right to add a consolation stake to the pro? gramme. * NOMINATIONS. * All Nominations accompanied by fee, name, c age, description, and performances of horse, »nd colors of the rider must be m the hands 1 of the Secretary not later than 9 p.m, on Wednesday, November Ist, 1888. 9 WEIGHTS. Weights for the first day's handicaps will be declared on or about November 14th. Weights for the second day's handicaps will be declared at 9 o'clock m the evening of the first day's racing. ACCEPTANCES* Acceptances for the first day's handicap must be m the hands of the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on Monday, November 19th, 1888.
