This is supposed to be the vessel ia which Alfred Joe and his two companions left for the Thames about a fortnight . ago. Tbe Awahlni is to proceed to the Boene to-morrow. H.M.S. Diamond arrived from Sydney to-day. She proceeds to Plymouth to be paid off. The dispute between Garrett Bros, and the Bootmakers Union is as far off settlement as ever. Garret Bros, served on 12 of their late employees, now on strike, legal notices that unless they returned to their work this morning, the penalty olaußo in tbe agreement between themselves nod the firm would be enforced, but the recipients have disregarded these' notices.
