Wellington, September 10. . A telegram has been rpoeived from ' Auckland, from Mr Lillywbite, manager of the British Football team, declining to play Wellington on Newton Park. The Rugby Union have no power to make a oharge at the Park (oolleotlon being voluntary), and as the Bisin R9aerve cannot be obtained, tbere trill probably be no match with the Englishmen here. The Secretary of the Union has sent a farther meßßigo to Mr Lilly white, asking on what terms he will play at Newton. The Wellington football team, on their way baok from Napier, will play Palmeraton North. .
