A meeting of th» above wm held on Thurad»y. Present : Meesn Goiter (chairman), Ljrttelton, Mulligan, Stringiellow, and Turner. The Olerk'i report on works cirrled ont daring the month wai read and con■ldeied. The Chairman repotted that the Committee had accepted the following tender! daring the month : — Taißooklng : W. Melbourne at 4d per ohaln, J. Gordon at 4d per ohain, and D. Beady at 6d per ehaln. The Olerk'i aotloia m putting on day workmen to repair the Great South Road wai approved. It was resolved to take stepi for procuring one aore of land on R S. 38393, Bnshy Park Road for a gravel reserve. It wai resolved, "That if a pit be procured, tenders be- called for metalling about fifteen chaim of the road." It wai decided to call the Council's attention to damage* on Gardner's Road through an overflow cf water race. It wai reiolved to call tenders for ' tuiaooktng Buehy Park and Sprott's Roadi for twelve fciet In the centre. ' Correspondence wai\ received from— (l) Mr Oronln with regard to his contract.— The Clerk to reply that the Board could ' not alter iti decision, and the con- ' tract must be completed before next | meeting, otherwise t£ie Board would ' have to do It at , his expense.— ' (2) From Messrs Wildit g and Lewis re ' Mr Mclntyre'a hone.— Jtesolved to for- ' ward cheque for same — (3) From Com- ! missloner Crown Lands, stating tb at the ' unm of £29 lla Id had accrued on sale of ] Village Settlement landa.— (4) Prom P. ' Collins, asking to have 30s of bis deposit } refunded — Agreed to. — (5) In reaponee 1 to a petition, it was rawived. on the •' motion of Mr Coster, seconded by Sir ' Stringfellow, to call for tenders for form- X iog and lowing with grass, White's road, J from Thompson's Track to Great South Boad.— (6) From Irvin awd Windsor, | ukiog for an extension of trane to com- l plete their contract — Granted. — (7) From y C. M. Brooke, offering poisoned wheat at ( a reduced rate— Not required. j It was resolved to call for tan tenders ' for reducing the two hills on Mitcham j road. ' The ChairmanVstated that he had dis- ' posed of the tip dray for £7 10s. — Action ' approved of. ' The Clerk was instructed to -etar 1 labor for certain works, and to give Brc notice to complete his work. The following tenders were accepted :• • Reducing hills, R. J. Dunn, £15 ; making crossing, D. Ready, £3 ; making crowing, Druey and Moodie, £9 ss : metalling, J. Brown, at B£d per yard; reforming, J, Brown, at Is 7£d per chain. Accounts for' £128 Is 6d wero passed for payment, and after transacting cemetery buiineas the meeting adjourned. !
