THE FISHERIES DISPUTE.
Washington, August 31. The Senate is debating the Bill to be introduced m the House of Representatives to give effect to President Cleveland's views on the fisheries question. It is considered certain that the President's message will be adopted by Congress. It is also asserted that Sir John Macdonald, Premier of Canada, will eventually give way and concede 1 the freedom ot waterways, under the pretext of loyalty to Imperial interests.
