The ar bounty agreement will come into operation m September 1891, when raw and refined sugar, molasses and glucose from bounty countries will be excluded by the signatory Powers. Any of the Powers signing the agreement will be allowed to withdraw on giving twelve months 1 notice of the intended secession, and it is intended to appoint an International Committee to see that the terms of the treaty are executed by all. The agreement will be ratified m August, 1890. The Austrian Government have signed the agreement, subject to the whole of the important producing countries adhering to the terms. Denmark and Sweden are not bound to exclude bounty sugars. London, September 1. The British-Colonial Anti-Bounty Society cordially approves the agreement arrived at by the Sugar Bounty Convention, but regrets the delay m bringing the treaty into operatian.
