The Wesleyan Conference has issued * pastoral address which the English press generally regard as a striking sign of the advancement of religious liberalism, and members of the Wesleyan faith are urged to take more active part m public affairf, on the ground that stalwart Christians are painfully needed on Education Boards, Municipal Bodies and, above all, m Parliament*
